The most controversial and impressive loss in Ash's career. Tobias entered the Sinnoh League with a Darkrai that had swept every previous opponent without losing. Ash's Sceptile became the only Pokemon to defeat Tobias' Darkrai, and his Pikachu managed to tie with Tobias' Latios — making Ash the only trainer to defeat even two of Tobias' Pokemon. Despite the loss, this battle elevated Ash's legend.
